First floor, the illustration department. When BOLTgraphics just started up, the focus was mainly on graphic-design. Graphic design of a high standard, which meant that using original artwork was (and is) a must.
So where photography was usually commosioned out, illustration was done in-house. This led to it becoming part of the core business of BOLTgraphics.
All the illustrations you'll see here are drawn by hand and inked using a brush. After that they are scanned into the computer, digitized by hand and colored in. That's about all I can say about them.
Most of the work on here is commissioned, among others by magazines Esquire, Kijk and WinQ.
